Many of the agents I work with and many family members and friends have either watched the move "the Secret" or have read one of the many books. I too have read some of the books and honestly I thought it was intriguing. If you believe in it or not is not what this is about - today I found out that quite possibly everything that is in the books and the movie is just a little "off".
If you don't know, the basic premise is that if you think about it enough it will become reality. The movie is very consumer driven and shows people thinking about a new car so they can get a new car. I don't believe that is a possibility - what I do believe is that if you are positive, positive things will happen to you.
But today I read an article that really hit it home for me. What they were saying was that the current form of the books and the movie are "off" a bit on how the secret really works. What the true theory states is that if you give with out expecting return - it will be returned twelve fold. Now that I can understand - if you give of yourself to help others and don't expect any return...it will just happen to you.
So the secret is a little simple when you think about it - just thinking positively is only one step - you have to act positively. The best way to act positive is to give to someone else and not expect anything in return.
So, today starts a new day of giving for me - by giving my time, my energy, and my enthusiasm to those around me I should have a great day!
