...so that we may grow in wisdom." (Psalm 90:12)
Yesterday, I found out about a successful Realtor here who died suddenly. He was OK 4 weeks ago!-- and now he is gone. This morning I read that the husband of a friend died--he was struggling with an illness, but seemed to be making progress.
I know that many of us experience this everyday, Death is an everyday participant in our lives.
This final life event gives me cause to pause and reflect on how I live my life and reevaluate how I spend it.
For me, I am on the back nine of life and for those that are still on the front nine--I suggest that this reevaluation is an exercise that should be done regularly--but as we approach a new year, now is a good time.
This is the one Key Question:
What is really and truly priority #1 in my life--Start with that, when you're finished thinking through that, decide how you will tend to it. Then move on to priority #2.
After you have your top priorities, you can than begin to throw out all that really doesn't matter. There are too many ways for each of us to waste precious minutes.
