Does Blogging Effect Your Bottom Line?

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Century21 Glencove-Morris

As I venture into blogging and the Web 2 experience of social networking,

I can't help but wonder...

Is this an addictive hobby or does it actually increase your bottom line?

I have found that in real estate it is easy to fall into traps.  You think

that you are working however you actually are only playing real

estate.  It is very difficult to sell a house if you aren't face to face

with a client.   We all have them don't we?  The agents in our office

that pretend to be Realtors just for the social aspect.  Or maybe

because they need their spouse to think that they have a job.

Can you please share your successes with me?  How are clients

following and finding you?  Please restore my faith - tell me that this isn't

just another fun obsession.

I've only just started blogging myself, and I am already seeing people open up to me, just by helping them find an answer to their questions. What I have done, is take their questions they ask me, and actually blog about that. Most people have the same questions as the ones you answer in the past...

Home is where the hearth is.

I have no evidence, thus far, whether "Blogging Affects my Bottom Line" directly, but I don't believe it has hurt the bottom line.  I'm willing to go with that.

Justin that is a great approach and I suppose if I treat my blogging like my regular business the results should follow just by caring about the people 1st :)

Hi Alan -  You are right!  As long as I don't spend too much time on the internet and not in front of real people it shouldn't hurt my BL either.  So we will keep up with a fun hobby.

Carolann you definitely would have a good following just by giving Chiropractic advice or ways to live healthier.  Good luck with that.  Don't forget Plaxo, Linked In and Facebook to expand your network.
