A group of River Vale residents are joining together to create a group whose purpose is to "reduce their environmental impact", according to Rosemary Dreger Carey, a River Vale resident.  The press release issued by the new organization, "The Pascack Sustainability Club", will provide a forum for an exchange of ideas on how to live in an environmentally responsible way.  This grass roots organization will address personal, local and governmental ways that we can become environmentally friendly.

It is significant that this organization is taking its roots in River Vale, the exemplary town which, just last year, was rated #29 in the Top 100 Best Towns in the Entire USA by CNN Money Magazine.  One of the quotes from CNN is that "the town is vigilant about keeping things clean and environmentally friendly! 

For those interested in participating in this wonderfully minded group, the first meeting is Sunday, November 16, 2008  from 1-2:30 P.M. at the River Vale Library, 412 Rivervale Road in River Vale, N.J.
