
The view to the right is of the "Petite Great Room" of a home I listed in Plantation Bay - Ormond Beach , Florida. ICI Builders specializes in what northerners may refer to as tract homes. All the homes are styled so similar it is hard to tell which model is different from the rest.
I call it specializing in Affordable Florida Luxury Homes in a Country Club Setting.
There are 123 homes listed today April 25, 2007 in Plantation Bay and about 14 homes on Sunningdale Lane alone. Of course the competition does not end in the Plantation Bay Community. There are wonderful comparable homes to be bought in numerous communities across the Daytona Area. It is a Great Time for Buyers. It is amazing to me that in a normal good market, homes increase in value about 6% to 10% year. These percentages are a great return. But here in the Daytona Beach Area for example my next door neighbor who bought a home for about $200,000 expected to make a $160,000 profit in one year. This has not been the exception in seller thinking. But thank goodness according to the Daytona Beach News Journal "Home Prices finally are dropping as sellers face the fact, IT IS A BUYERS MARKET."
