Don't forget to pick up the biggest and best apple pie while you are at Apple Hill. They are delicious!

Give a gift to a child

Give a gift to a child

While you are having holiday fun and enjoying all the wonderful places to visit and shop during the holidays remember to pick up a special toy and drop it off at the Toys for Tots designations. Click to see all of the many drop off locations to donate a toy for Toys for Tots.

Most local Fire Departments accept your donations. Don't wrap your gift. Just drop it off. How easy is that? Make a child's Christmas, a special time as it should be. These are tough economic times for everyone so your donation is especially appreciated this year. We can all manage at least one gift for a needy child.

Tami, I gave your Dad a shout out today from you.  Don't think it's about time you came to Sacramento and visit your dear old Dad?  Might as well save a little time to visit with me, too.

Bill, as time marches on I will be adding more fun things to do during the holidays but needed to get some of these early dates out quickly so the readers don't miss a thing.

Kristal, oh the miracle of ice skating in 70 and 80 degree weather. Don't need to bundle up for this one here. The only thing that hampers being able to skate outside is if and when the rain begins to fall...does play havoc on the ice.

The Fabulous 40's are very much like the homes on 7th Ave Parkway in Denver. Five homes are selected to deck themselves out with the help of top designers and florist. It is something not to miss. This holiday tour brings thousands of people every year.

Ann, thank you. There will be more as the holidays approach but needed to get a few of these choice items out quickly before the dates disappeared on me. I had a lady who was very persistent contact me about when the dates were this year for the Holiday Tour at the Fabulous 40's so I got out of my sick bed to bring those dates to Sacramento Real Estate Voice.  I'm awfully glad that she prompted me to get it done.

Thomas, hard to believe that it's that time again already, isn't it? Hey, besides right in front of your own fireplace at home the next best place to enjoy that hot apple cider is at Apple Hill.

Hi Gena,

Oh my gosh, what great info on events in Sacramento. You sure know your area!

That holiday home tour is something I'd love to do myself. It's been years since I've done one and this one is by professionals. Will they allow you to take photos? I'd love to see it.

Lynda, the holiday tour at the Fabulous 40's really is spectacular and has quite a draw. Not sure about photo taking inside but certainly outside is not prohibited. Depending on my schedule, I may have the time to attend this year...just not sure as of yet. As always the clients come first.

Sharon, yes it is. Amazing when you realize that dates need to go out pretty far in advance in order for the readers to not miss out on some of the early holiday events. I'm sure I'll have much more as time marches on in December.

Gena~ That apple pie is making me hungry!  Especially if I could put a slice of melted cheese and vanilla ice cream on top! Also, thanks for stopping by earlier and reading and commenting on my post.  I really appreciate you taking the time to do that! Vickie
