You are ready to move forward with your home selling process. You are ready to
proceed to more than hanging out on the computer to search homes or find what
your neighbors are selling for. You are convinced that you do not know enough
about real estate transactions and that you want to employ a real estate agent
to assist you in the home selling process.

This is one point I'd like to make in this blog:
When You Hire Your Agent To Do The Job For You, You Will Need To Put Your Agent
In The Driver's Seat. Let him/ her take you to your destination.
In the past, I wrote about a blog called,
The Sellers are the Ultimate Decision
Makers of their Sale. I still believe that. A real estate agent is a facilitator
to the sale. We procure a qualified buyer and negotiate the offer. Ultimately,
you as the seller will decide if you want to sell it for a price. However, if
you look to your real estate agent for experience,
knowledge and advice, you might do better if you put your agent in
the driver's seat. Seat at the back and let
your agent take you to your destination - a sold home.
There are so many Sellers who want to call the plays of
the game. Deserving so. The Sellers are the employers. But again, if
you had hired this expert in his/ her domain, why wouldn't you want to trust
this person enough to drive the show? Why would you want to back-seat drive?
Often times, Sellers want to hang on values that aren't there. To make matters
worse, agents are afraid of losing the listings, take on homes with inflated
prices with one hope that one buyer would think that it is worth the asking
price. Remember, an experienced agent who understands that taking on an
overpriced listing is not worth his/ her time, money in marketing and energy. An
experienced agent do not leave home selling to chances and hopes. As much as
home selling in itself is art and subjective, it is also very specific. There
are mathematical formulas, models and analyses involved. But all these are true,
only if you let your agent drive the show.
A great agent cannot fully shine himself/ herself if you keep the limits on his/
her ability.
Much to your success.
