Selling your home in a sellers' market can be almost euphoric. Selling your home in a buyers' market can be very difficult and discouraging.

In Silicon Valley, as in much of the country, most homes aren't selling. They sit on the market but either get low offers or no offers. In the town of Los Gatos, for every 10 homes on the market, only 1 is selling.

Mary, I loved the article and the excellent advice you gave. Homes are selling here slowly---for much reduced prices but people here too are generally looking for low prices on either nice homes or ones they will rebuild/renovate. I love the idea of "At Your Service" -- fixing up their homes prior to selling will be worth every penny!
