Day 9 of 29 days of Gifts is almost over. I had a very full day of getting my hair done and then off to an afternoon's seminar - Richard Robbins - very worthwhile. I kept looking for some spontaneous way of providing a gift during the day but nothing spoke to me. At Starbucks I wondered if someone could use a Latte? Nah . . . Then the traffic wasn't bad enough to classify letting someone merge into my lane as a gift ,lol. Nothing jumped out at me and I continued on to the Bulk Barn to pick up some dry sundries and thought I would meet someone there who I could gift to - no such luck! Where was everyone? Why couldn't I find someone to be nice to? Was I looking too hard? Maybe I wouldn't be able to continue in a spontaneous manner.
When I finally arrived home, my cold medicine had completely worn off, I was weak and shaky and my ears totally blocked (can anyone suggest a remedy?) All I wanted to do was have a hot bath and crawl into my bed. Then I remembered, tomorrow morning is a fund raiser called Cookies and Critters. There will be people hosting tables where they'll serve homemade goodies with tea or coffee for a donation. Other people will be hosting areas where individual flea markets are being held. The money has to be raised for these helpless, abandoned animals. They need good 4-ever homes. They need to feel strong and loved (as do I tonite) Not that they look in the mirror like humans, but they need to see and feel a secure future.

I decided to donate a few carloads of odds & ends to be sold and they needed to be delivered tonite, in the cold, rainy night! Dish sets, CD's, Christmas decorations, chairs, lamps, . . . a good collection of previously enjoyed household items. Well, it was done (just) and I returned home to make my lovely husband a nice hot meal before I crashed on the couch. He too, has the cold/flu and being male, it has to be 300% worse than mine!!! We'd better both be healed tomorrow morning when we awaken - I'm serious!!!'
Stay tuned for Day 10 tomorrow - hopefull a healthy day 10 - how do you cure blocked ears???
