Daniel Boone, now there is a famous name. The mere mention of the name conjures up history and Americana.
The descendent of Daniel Boone that made good would be his "great, great, great, great" grandson. This "grandson" of Daniel Boone, a few generations removed, was the second most successful singer of the 1950's, just behind the hound dog man, Elvis. Daniel Boone's direct descendant had a total of fifty-four hit records.
If you think about last names, it is not too hard to figure out who this descendant of the legendary frontiersman might be. We are talking about Pat Boone. And I guess Pat's hit-making daughter Debby (You Light Up My Life) would be Daniel's great, great, great, great, great granddaughter.

This one was at the top of the charts in December 1957 -- 138 years after the death of the patriarch of the Boone family, Daniel Boone.

Very interesting indeed! Three famous people coming out of the Boone family, perhaps there were more, we just don't know about. Wondering if you know which movie this came from or is it of the same song title "April Love". Noticing a young, beautiful Shirley Jones in the audience and the other actress infatuated with the handsome young Pat Boone also looks familiar but her name escapes me. Any idea?

Hhhmmm, Was Pat Boone from Kentucky or Virginia? That is where Ol' Daniel came from. Now I got my own curiosity up.
