I got the chance to take pictures in September of the area around Vernal Utah. The weather was warm and great for hiking, rock hunting, and of course taking photos. We drove up near Red Cloud Loop for a few hours to enjoy the scenery and we were not disappointed. The Aspen trees were a wonderful contrast with their bright yellow leaves.

These are breathtaking photos. I really love the colors of fall. I posted in the Wordless Wednesday Group a picture I had taken in the Smoky Mountains a week ago. There were similar golden leaves. You should check the group out, your photos would make a great addition.

It looks like a good site. The picture at the top of this blog would have been a good one for that site. It reminds me of "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost. I liked how it looks down the road and you have to wonder what is past your vision.

Frost is truly one of the best American poets ever. He paints such scenes and pitures with his words. Did you know he read a poem at JFK's inauguration.

I didn't know that. Speaking of JFK, I will always remember that my Mother took me to the Billings airport to see him when I was a little girl.

The poems reminded me of all the special poems my teachers told us in school and the one I had to memorize for second grade. I was looking up Robert Frost and the other poems tonight. It was a nice memory.

Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening is probably one of my top 5 favorite Frost poems, I can't pick just one favorite though. It speaks on so many levels, yet is deceptively simple. Am looking forward to seeing Vernal in winter!

Rich, I used to go to work early in the morning. I loved to stop and look at the untouched snow and listen to the complete silence.

Thank you Bob. I was a nice day. We took our Mom up to see the leaves and she thought it was great.
