Today was an odd kind of day. It went from rainy and warm to now at 11 p.m. rainy and cold. In between there was some sunshine mixed with dark clouds in the distance. While I was way out in the country I glanced to my right a
nd saw this. For me it had to be a sign; a sign that better times were ahead. I don't believe in coincidence and this rainbow was meant for me!

We don't get too many rainbows here in my area, possibly because we don't get too much rain.
My new year's resolution for 2008 (I only make one each year) was to carry my digital camera with me wherever I went. I'm still keeping it, so I'm prepared to get some rainbows in December (our rainy season).
Gayle, I love rainbows but don't get them here often. I'm SO glad you captured it and it can remind you of all the good things to come!

Carole I LOVE rainbows!!! They are special. I have seen them in Jersey, but, never in NY.

Nice shot of hope! I love rainbows, too! Once, we could see in the distance, exactly where the rainbow ended. It was within walking distance of where we were, so we went and "stood in the rainbow". I wondered if the light refraction would be visible while we stood there, (it wasn't) but it felt magical to know that we were standing in it! We walked away from it, and could still see it, a long lasting rainbow...(and you are right, there are no coincidences!)
