These last several days we have been visiting Pennsylvania for my brother-in-law's wedding.

My 10 month old son, Dylan, is meeting family who have never seen him before,

katie & dylan

 3 generations

and my five year old, David, is renewing relationships with family he hasn't seen in a year and a half.

David is happily running off with Grammy and Pop Pop and playing with his cousins.  Tomorrow, he's looking forward to 4-wheeling on the farm.  We don't have a farm at home.  Who has acreage in Southern California

Tonight, Dylan chose to go with his Pop Pop rather than sit in my lap.

They spend time every week with my parents who live minutes away and are both very close to them.  But, they are lucky to see my husband's parents once a year, and it's obvious that both boys really enjoy their time with their grandparents.

What can you do when my husband's family is East Coast and my family is in California?  I guess we will all be seeing more travel from coast to coast.

What do you do to keep in touch with far flung family?

P.S. Tomorrow I take my first trip to the Big Apple,  Stay tuned . . .

Hi Christine~ I am coming to your post to learn more about you and to "pay it forward"!  Thanks for visiting and reading and commenting on my post.  I appreciate it!  It is tough to keep in touch with family when you live far away. Most of my family lives in PA too!  PA is where I actually grew up.  The best thing about the Internet is you can put photos and videos up and share in minutes and keep in touch so easily!  It is so convenient, isn't it?  Your children are beautiful by the way and it looks like a very nice wedding too! Thanks again for stopping by, Vickie McCartney

Vickie - Thank you for stopping by.  It's tough for my husaband's parents to have the grandbabies so far away, but you are right.  The internet makes it easier to keep them updated.
