Sometimes you are in the right place at the right time.

Yesterday, after the storm, I caught a rainbow in Charlottesville!

Charlottesville Rainbow

The above photo is from my back deck! We have some fantastic views here in Charlottesville!

Charlottesville Rainbow

I think it is appropriate that the rainbow ends at the city of Charlottesville. Actually it might be right at The University of Virginia (UVA)....

It was nice that I happen to look out the window and had my camera close at hand...

That is a beautiful picture!  The rainbow is beautiful but look at all your trees changing colors!  We don't have so much of the nice fall color change going on in Myrtle Beach.  Thanks for sharing!

Charles - This is beautiful and you caught a whole Rainbow!!!  We needed all of the rain but here it rained so hard that I'm not sure it went into the ground or just rolled over it!!  Beautiful day today here in Lynchburg.  Thanks for sharing - and have a great day!

Your photos turned out wonderful!  I tried to photograph a rainbow several weeks ago and mine didn't turn out so colorful.  Great job!

Charles,

There's something about rainbows that are more spectacular when observed with the eye than when captured by camera!!! Great pic though!!! Thanks,   Fran

We have had some rain in Sumter this past week.  Saturday night I left the house to go to Walmart and saw the most brillant rainbow I have ever seen.  The colors were so clear and beautiful and it looked like it came to earth on a tree with gold colored leaves.  Then suddenly a second rainbow appeared right beside it.  It was beautiful.  No camera though.  :(

We are so fortunate meaning you and I where we live.  We do get to see some truly awesome nature scenes and I've seen more vivid rainbows here in Blue Ridge Georgia than anywhere else that I've been.  Looks like you get to enjoy some pretty awesome ones too.
