The RE/MAX system is great for a number of reasons including the fact that all the agent are held accountable to their business.

Excellent curb appeal for your office Erik. One of the few public blogs that I've done struck a small gold mine. I had a start up company who asked their HR manager to google RE/MAX West Houston, which so happens to be the name of our office. Blogging about my office has been a huge priority. Best of luck!

Bill - I agree. The freedom to run our own business and reap the rewards or bear the burdens is one of the primary reasons that I chose RE/MAX. The training, leads, market presence, etc is a terrific bonus.

That is so important- to be the local real estate expert of your area. Doing nothing else will help you get the recognition and reputation for being an economist of choice. You have to know you stats and market conditions or else someone else will!

Nicole - As odd as this may sound, I really like the numbers side of real estate. Studying market conditons and trends, identifying value and growth areas, and insuring that my clients are getting a fair (if not better) deal is compelling and interesting.
