Footballer pumping up football

DAY 11 OF 29 Days of Gifts.  Today I elected to have a quiet, reflective day. It was a dark day with snow flurries so I chose to spend most of the day in front of the fire.  I did alot of reading which I find very therapeutic.  I'm still suffering thru the flu and I'm quite ready to be rid of it!

My gift today is to myself.  I tended to my own needs and treated myself with kid gloves today.  I tend to not do that too often and I felt I was long overdue.  Maybe that was why this flu is hanging on so long.  A simple Sunday meal that allowed the oven to do the work;  a nice pork roast, with roasted potatoes and veggies.  All I had to do was take it out of the oven - yum.  . A nice long bath with eucalyptus has to help, right?

By being kind to myself, I can be kinder to others.  My mind has been whirling with ideas about how I can bring about change to my friends, family and clients.  It is exciting to be on the threshold of such change.   Stay tuned for tomorrow when I hope to feel almost human again!

Hey, a nice long bath with eucalyptus is a gift in itself. Talk about unwinding! Enjoy!

Praying that you feel better really soon. Snow we have had one day of snow in a freak storm

about a month ago, but none since. I know it is coming soon though.

Susan, I hope that you make a speedy recovery.  Sometimes the best give we can give is to ourselves.

Sandy -  thanks for your kind words.  I have to admit, I do like the snow.  Everything looks so pretty and clean under a blanket of snow!

Tim & Pam -  thanks for your kind thoughts.  I do feel a bit better today.  I'm not sure if it is because I'm actually getting better or because I have a very full day to get thru!   Thanks for stopping by.

Sheila -  isn't it amazing how long it takes us to realize we need taken care of first!  Only then can we care for everyone else.

ps.  I LOVE New Braunfels . . .   first visited in 1973 and then, from N Ireland, took my husband in 1993!

Charles -  that's one of phrasing it!   There is no room in my life for guilt.  We do the best we can, with what we have, at the time.   Enjoy your day off and thanks for stopping by!
