This is a simply awesome photo. I have never been to the Rockies, I only am familiar with the mountains in the east. I have been to California but never to the majestic western mountains.

Rich, the mountains are amazing out west. You really should come see them.

Deborah- It was a wonderful trip. My friend always wanted to go to Glacier so a few years ago, while I was getting my Master's degree in Missoula, we went up to Glacier for the day. It was amazing.

Barbara-Jo & Bill- It does make you think of hot chocolate and this was taken in June!

Hi Julie, Thank you for this photo.  Glacier Park is one of my most favorite places!  I have been back there several times, and have stayed in different hotels and lodges each time (although Many Glaciers is my favorite and I stayed there 3 three times).  The hikes are spectacular, and I recommend stopping at every turnout in the park, no matter how small.  There is something special at each one, and you would drive right by most of them and never see half the beauty if you didn't stop.  It's great to drive all the way through the park and head over the border to Waterton Lakes National Park too.  The two parks together are called the International Peace Park. Wonderful!

Hi Julie, very beautiful photo.  I have not had the oppertunity to go the Glacier Nat'l Park but hopefully one day.  I have been to Colorado, Wyoming, lower Montana (Yellowstone) and Arizona.  Breath taking.

Bryant, Susan, Julie I am glad you liked the picture. It is so nice to be able to share my pictures with someone.

Susan I haven't been to Waterton Lakes National Park. I bet it is beautiful. I didn't know they called the two parks International Peace Park. Thanks for the information. I will have to go back and see more of the park. When we went there Going To The Sun Road was closed due to the snow. We went as far as we could, then drove to the other side and went in as far as we could that way. It was a lot of miles. We started and ended in Missoula.

Kate- The mountains out west are spectacular.

I need to see more of the east in my travels. I did go to Washington D. C. last year. Pretty country.
