I have been trying to put these out on Friday each week for a month or so now and invariably something happens, like I write 8-10 other posts for various sites and this one somehow isn't at the top of the rotation. I know, I know, it is an outrage that my Active Rain blog isn't always at the top of the stack. 'Tis true, 'tis true and you know what...I'm still working.
Maybe you can tell by the tone of the previous paragraph, wait...What? You can't read tone? Tone deaf??? No? A perfect alto you say. Hmmm...Oh, you mean it is hard to relay tone, inflection, and subtle nuance in a blog post. Well all of that may be true for me, I am no web comic. <<<seamless transition>>> wait, why can I see that??? Isn't that invisible HTML scripting or something...Anyway, this week I am only going to feature one blog from the greater blogosphere and it is a comedy blog! I mean, "the" comedy blog. Look, down to the left, that is the icon.
Perhaps you can tell if you read the post it that someone so thoughtfully attached to the icon, this is quite the irreverent blog. The humor might be mildly offensive so if you are easily offended, save us all the pitiful tirade that would surely follow your visit to his (or her) site, and don't visit. If on the other hand you can handle sometimes outrageous or bawdy humor, by all means please visit Stud Kickass: The Webcomic's website. Yes I self censored so as not to offend (if you were still offended, please do not visit his/her site).
With all of the warnings and niceties out of the way, let me tell you about this awesome site. First, the sense of humor is excellent, maybe even sublime. I marvel at the effort that must go into the day's edition. The comic is presented as a continuous dialogue between comic strip type characters. Each day there is new art. The subjects vary but are always poignantly hysterical. You might want to go back a couple of days to get a general feel for the comic otherwise you might be left with a Whiskey Tango Foxtrot look on your face and asking yourself if I have perhaps been indulging in a bit of that other Lynchburg, Tennessee specialty. There are archives from the start of the strip until now, but there is no real need to go back to the beginning to understand what is going on. That is part of the genius of the comic. Rest assured that I have not been cavorting with Mr. Daniels, at least not before writing this post. Maybe I should have. Anyway, if you do visit, I hope you enjoy yourself.
