Congratulations to former councillor Ernie Daykin as he takes over from Gord Robson as Mayor of Maple Ridge. Our city awaits the new voice to be heard from city hall. Daykin seems to be a highly likeable, personable fellow, somehow less formidable & imposing than Robson. Only time will tell if Daykin's "man of the people" persona will prove effective or not.
The results were not even close, so obviously Maple Ridge is ready for a change.
