Very nice Cindy. Fabulous fotos and a nice friendly vision of Lorton today. For Fairfax County, Lortin is just about the best buy for newer home communities.
I love the piece about the Lorton Workhouse Prison Center. What a wonderful community asset.
Cindy,
Beautifully done and full of helpful information for those relocating to Lorton.
Hi Cindy. An online relocation guide is a great idea. Loved the pictures. I am pretty sure I have attended that church before. Is that the one that dates back to the time of GW?
Lenn-I'm a volunteer at the Lorton Workhouse Arts Center. It is an incredible facility and there are still buildings to be rennovated. Lots of great classes are now being offered and the Friday night concerts have been a hit.
Cynthia-thank you for stopping by. The "new" Lorton as I refer to it is a different neighborhood than the "old" Lorton where you find homes on larger lots with more trees. Both appeal to different types of buyers.
Shirley-thank you for the compliment. The picture in this post is the Silverbrook Methodist Church just a baby at 101! The church you are thinking of is Pohick Church also in Lorton off Route 1.
Ok, thanks for the information, Cindy. I will click on the link. It has been decades since I was there.
Shirley-You're welcome. Come by again soon :-)
