I just read an update from REALTOR.org that listed a handful of cities that are poised for an economic rebound.  The article said that in October 2005, the height of the boom, that the median sales price for homes in the US reached 7.3 times per capita income.  Anbd that by this past May it was 5.7.  They stated this was a historical norm.  Now there is no doubt that this number has slowly headed south, towards a historicac low, since May 2008 which would seem to me that these locations are a lot more ready for a rebound then ever beofore.  So call a REALTOR in these ciites and get set up for some referral action!

Thanks for the info, Ford.  Good data, just wish that the Chicagoland area were on that list.  Perhaps I can try and get referrals from those areas for our team.

Thanks for the update.  In the greater Akron area we are hopeful that the market will begin to recover before long.  We still have large inventories of foreclosed homes and our days on market is still high.  While some traditional businesses are closing in our area we are seeing some increases in the service and technology industries showing some growth.

I read the article, but the problem is the next time you read the list they will have a bunch of new cities on the list.

I trylu y do wish that the list included every market everywhere!  Don't get too down.  Just like the last response claims that the list changes each time.  Maybe your area will be on it next!

Raleigh is a great place to relocate to Ford - I'm here if know of anyone moving in this direction.  Hopefully we'll stay on that list for a little while anyway!
