This winery is nestled in the hills of North Stonington, CT. The old-world charm that this winery offers pairs well with individuals looking for a sophisticated and cultural experience.

Jonathan Edwards has a 48 acre vineyard offering grapes for the harvesting of wonderful Connecticut Estate wines such as:

*2007 CT Estate Charndonnay
*2007 CT Estate Connecticut Cabernet Franc

This winery also offers wine from grapes from other regions of the country, which explains why the seven wine choices currently offered here, are not all from grapes that were grown here in Connecticut.

Jonathan Edwards Winery uses a very unique way to have a variety of wines to offer. What they do is purchase grapes from farmers in the Napa Valley and the Sierra Foothill regions of California. This is simply because that the conditions of our New England weather is not suitable for growing a variety of grapes. It is important to know that they are very picky about the grapes that they do buy, so the flavor of the wine is not compromised.

Currently the wonderful wines offered from harvested grapes in Napa Valley of California are:

2006 Napa Valley Merlot
2007 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc
2006 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc
2006 Napa Valley Petite Sirah

The available Jonathan Edwards wine offered from harvested grapes from the Sierra Foothills of California is a 2006 Zinfandel.

There are wines sitting in the barrels that are just not ready to enjoy as of yet... But be patient, they will be available as soon at the harvesting process is complete.

Wine tastings and tours are offered here at Johathan Edwards, along with many wonderful events... Or if you wish, just stop to sample a glass of wine or to buy a bottle of this local and UNIQUE New England creation.

It is one of the 19 vineyards of the Connecticut Wine Trail.
