A few little tidbits of information for those who have interest.

  • There were 23,120 unsold homes on the market last month, a 20.1% drop from the 28,928 homes on the market in October 2007. The last time the inventory was lower was in January 2005, when it stood at 20,917.
  •   In October, the average price of a Single Family Home was $250,172, this is a 13.6%  decrease from $289,754 in October of last year. The medium price of a home is down 12% from $234,200 to $206,000.
  •   In September the sale of existing homes Nationally rose 5.5% from August to September. This is far better than analysts expected.
  •   The national median existing home price for all housing types fell to $191,600 (9%) in 2008, compared to the median price of $210,500 since September of 2007.
  •   In September the unemployment rate was standing steady at 5.2% in Colorado. The National unemployment rate is 6.1%..
