Our Bikes and Blues VIP Party was held so that we could thank our sponsors personally, treat them to dinner and drink and meet our new St. Jude Representatives Virgina and Ginnywho brought DVD's on St. Jude to teach us just a little bit more about that fabulous hospital.

The party was held at the Plaza in Daytona Beach run by our generous sponsors Bray & Gillespie & Ocean Waters, our dinner was supplied by Armando at Cancun Lagoon, Budweiser and Coca Cola supplied the drinks and our Bikes and Blues Committee members brought desert!

We watched the DVDs, "My Hospital" and one from Marlo Thomas about how charity events like ours support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Did you know it costs 1.2 MILLION dollars a day to run St. Jude? Me either. Did you know St. Jude is working on finding cures for other diseases besides cancer, like a cure for childhood HIV & the bird flu? Me either. We do now though. St. Jude is about Finding Cures, Saving Lives in more ways then one. After our DVD presentation was over, there was a lot of sniffling in the room. I imagine some tears too. Click on the link and help St. Jude. Steve and I are Partners In Hope, we give $20 a month to St. Jude with this program. Its not a lot, $120 a year, if everyone that believes in what St. Jude does for the children donated that much just think about what St. Jude could accomplish.

I made some new and wonderful friends Friday, friends I hope to have for a lifetime. Virgina and Ginny are wonderful ladies who really love what they do and it shows. Here are some photo's from the party...

The real tall guy is Big Mike Griffen, blues musician, the pretty lady by his side is his girl Emilie, another very talented singer and the other gentlemen is the manger of the Iron Horse Saloon, Steve.

Neal, That was just the begining! Much more to come! :)

Aziz, Thanks! What do you want to know? St. Jude has a couple different fund raising programs you can get in on. With your background and people you know I bet you could really raise some cash for a local charity or a project like St. Jude!

Midori, I really didn't do that much but take photos, this was a team effort, without our committee and wonderful sponsors, non of this could have been possible. Thank you tho! You think this was emotional, just wait til part 3!

Bob, Thanks so much! I really enjoyed every minute! This is the biggest thing I've ever been apart of, and we are already hunting down more sponsors for next year. I'll be back on all cylinders next week I hope, I have company arriving tonight!
