Where would I put the Christmas tree?

Historic interiors can very often give you the first clue on where to go with your decorations for Christmas.

When I  designed model homes for builders the main thing that I would concern myself with was having the prospective buyer step into the home and see themselves living there.  During the Christmas season, when traffic is slow, it is important to help the buyer visualize seeing themselves celebrating within their new home.

During the next few weeks I will concentrate on a specific period  each week giving a short history of the  Christmas customs  and will include a photo of reference.  If you or your clients would like find more sources for your historic interior go to:

Aloha Louise,

What a great blog topic. Personally, I'm a minimalist when it comes to holiday decor but I do enjoy seeing other peoples decorating prowess in action.

Peace,

Behind the scenes making people look great.

Nice topic.  I have struggled with this a bit every time we have moved.  Being military, we have moved a bit and every place is different not to mention the size of our tree has increased.  I'll keep an eye on your threads offering advice.
