Summing Up Part Of Week Two

By

Hi All,

We are deep into week two of the Project Blogger contest and I, for one,  am still getting my sea legs.  This week has not been as filled with huge Revelations so much as it has been about lots and lots of little ones.  Thus far, I have learned how to use Google Analytics to find out what kind of traffic my site is receiving.   I have also learned how to use MyBlogLog for a similar purpose.

Drew added a subscription box to my site Route66Living.com.  He also got some more appropriate photos into the header.  More tweaking is still necessary, and one of the photos in the header collage will be replaced soon.  Truthfully, there has been so much nipping and tucking going on that I don't actually remember what has been done.

There is so much that goes on behind the scenes, as it were, that the casual or even not so casual viewer of the site would never know transpired.  Between the formating, the tagging, the countless emails and hours of im'ing, the linking, the deep linking(which is when you go get a link ,that is within a link, that is within a link), the researching, the reading, digesting, evaluating and regurgitating of information, I barely have time for my Real Estate business anymore!

I have also been trying to not only build my site's content, I have also been trying to maintain a consistent presence here in the Active Rain community as well.  I can't double post, and I don't really want to.  I am making a conscious effort to keep the two sites and their content very separate.  I don't post Realtor specific information on my personal blog site.  I also am trying to add content to my site that will continue to enrich the reader's experience.

I got a bit of a cold this week so it has been a bit harder to keep up the pace than it might be if the cold were not a factor.  I am still maintaining my additional training/learning schedule so I am still attending as many as four classes each week.  I am also trying to keep up with my geographic physical farming and my open houses.  Right now I think the only word that I can come up with that truly describes how I am feeling is exhausted!

My bed is calling my name so...

Take care, help lots of people and have a wonderful day!

Tisza, I just took a look at your Route 66 blog and all I can say is WOW it is GORGEOUS!  I so love the header, the layout, the map - the style of thing as well as the functionality of it. You are doing a really awesome job.

And good job on your summary of week 2. (I'm not ready to summarize just yet myself...)

Kudos, big kudos!

Hi All,

Mary - Thank you for being such a supportive voice.  I think your site www.liveinlosgatos.com is shaping up nicely as well.  Who would have thought, mere weeks ago that we would be as far along as we already are!  And just think... The best is yet to come!

Ben - What a lovely way to start my day, with such positive comments from friends.  I am glad you are enjoying my contributions as much as I enjoy their creation.  Talk about a win-win!

Take care, help lots of people and have a wonderful day!

Tisza, new photos look great. I almost missed subscribe though. Perhaps a different background color for the box?

I must say, all of your posts a very well written and enlightening. The too toxic to trash would look good in the Eco-All Stars Group. Too bad you can't duplicate.
