Recently I was hosting a morning class at our local Realotrs association. When I asked the participants if they had heard of Staging pretty much everyone in the room raised their hand. When asked if they are working with a Stager, one Realtor raised his hand.
Does this mean that everyone else has time to Stage their own listings?
What is the most common response a Realtor gets when they mention Staging to their clients?
Why do home sellers find it easier to reduce their prices by thousands of dollars rather than spending a few hundred to Stage their home properly?
I know that Staging is a fairly new insustry but the knowledge of the importance of preparation has been around a long time. Realtors should start taking advantage of the fact that there are more Stagers available now then ever.
Many Stagers have their own websites that give advice to their clients. If you are a Realtor that has Stagers in your area take advantage of that. Let the Stager be the one telling your client they need to make some changes. It doesn't have to cost a lot of money, but it will make a big difference. Check out some Staging websites and you will be surprised at what is out there.
