One of my favorite places in the whole world is Birmingham, AL.  Birmingham is such a beautiful city and it's full of secret little restaurants that no one but the locals are aware exist.  I was raised in Birmingham and my childhood was wonderful.  We lived on the west side of town and when I was a teenager we would go to a place in north Birmingham, just a little shack of a place and get a Milo's hamburger.  Those were the best hamburgers in the world.  Well, through the years Milo's has branched out and franchised it's business and is now all over Alabama.  How much I wish for those good ole days.  Even now when I drive through a city that has a Milo's Hamburgers I stop and grab me a few, but they don't taste the same.  Sometimes I want to call the man in charge and tell him how much the burgers have gone down over the years, but I figure it wouldn't do any good.

I still have my memories of the original Milo's on 31st in North Birmingham, and I'll never forget how good those hamburgers were!
