This is a question for anyone who will respond.  If during the upload of a post, something happens, and it does not load, then I lose all that I have written.  Can someone tell me how to save the text so that next time I am not frustrated and have to retype my thoughts.  This has happened twice in the last month.  Am I just unlucky or is there something that I might be doingwrong? Can I save the text in my clipboard before uploading?

I've met the same fate myself. Now if I'm writing a long post I do it in Word or another text editor and paste into the blog window when I'm done editing.

You should be able to select all and copy along the way as well. That way if you lose it you just start a new post, paste, and insert and you're back in business

Robert, sometimes if you hit the "back arrow" on your browser you can recapture your content. If not OUCH! I always try and save my post as a "draft" so that if I loose it I will have at least saved some of it. I usually write mine in word or on another blog platform and then I am safe.

I no longer write my blogs in the box.  I use free software from NVU.com which works very much like a word processing program.  Write your blog, change your colors, add pictures, etc. then get the html commands and copy, then paste into my blog.  I never lose anything that way.

Here's a Quick way to copy and paste that it seems a lot of people don't know about...
Click once where your text is located to be active in that box.
Then click Ctrl + A to select everything.  (Same thing as highlighting before copying, only quicker if there is a lot to highlight).
Then click Ctrl + C to copy.
Next, click where you want to paste it, then click Ctrl + V to paste.
Keyboard commands work a lot quicker than other methods.

If you want to use the NVU software download I mentioned, I wrote a HOW-TO-BLOG so it doesn't take awhile to learn to use it.  Enjoy....and if after you have read the how-to-blog you have any trouble figuring out how to use the software, just send me an email or give me a call.

If you are as blog and computer challenged as I am, write your post in a word doc and save it.  Cut and paste into your blog.  Save it and then go back and add your photos and links afterwards....

I think we have all done it and have learned the hard way not to do it again.

Good Luck,
