Day 15 of 29 began bright and sunny but cold.  Speaking of cold . . .  mine is hanging on for dear life!   With so many things to do today that can't be put off, I'm hoping the meds will do their stuff.

It was interesting to discover that I now feel quite at peace with what my gift will be today.  It is something I've been putting off for months now.   I had been worrying about how the gift would be received and this morning I realized that that is something out of my control.    I can only examine my motive for sending the gift and put my faith and trust in that it will be received in the same manner.   If not, I tried my best and wished for the best.

I have a friend who has drifted away from who she is and how she was raised. She has many problems and alcohol addiction is just one of the symptoms of her greater problem.  She is lacking in self-esteem and confidence with an unhealthy jealousy of anyone who is happy and content.   She is struggling to get back to her roots where religion played a big part of her life. 

I decided this morning to order for her, a wonderful book called:  Love your Life:  Living Happy Healthy and Whole  by Victoria Osteen. 

 In the book, the author writes:   

"No matter where you are in your life, no matter what responsibilities you may carry, you can find peace, balance and enjoyment in every area of your life; but it all starts with you.  You have more power inside you than you realize;  all you need to do is tap into what you already have.   As you begin to recognize your own abilities and influence, and use them in healthy ways, all the other areas of your life will fall into order."

I have really enjoyed this book and I recommend it to all women living in a fast paced world with too many commitments and responsibilities.
