You've waited a long time for this one haven't you? You want to know how many bikes were on the ride, how much money did we raise, how did everything go?
It was a beautiful day, no threat of rain, nice and warm, perfect for our Bike Parade. I took over 360 photos this day, but I couldn't manage a good shot from the back of our 82 Shovel-head, of the actual ride.. HOWEVER! I did hook up with a photography club and they were placed thru-out the parade route with still and video cameras, when I get some of their photos I will share them with you. It was also a beautiful day to be in the air. WHAT? THE AIR? As In The Sky?? Yes! We had Air Support, 1 helicopter following us with a camera, AND! Three squads of 4 old airplanes and 1 squad of 3 WW1 planes pacing us, a group called the Spruce Creek Gaggles. (Wouldn't you know it, no website for them.) More about that in a little while.
Mickey Jones, Bubba Baker, Big Mike Griffin and gang arrived promptly at 900AM

I ran around snapping photo's until our St. Jude's Featured Child Easton Wargo arrived with his family at around 10. What a wonderful family!

Target Stores built The Target House at St. Jude in Memphis, it is where the families of sick chidren stay for free while the children are being treated, the Wargos being one of those famlies. We had our own Target Team of Volunteers at the Iron Horse, This is them with Easton and his Daddy.

Our Celebritys also posed with the Wargos...

Then we went to meet Mickey in the "Green Room".

After Dad took the kids to turn them into "Bikers For A Day"
We got close to our departure time, Mickey took the stage to say a few words and once again thank our many many sponsors (you can never thank the sponsors enough). Gary Wargo and Easton joined Mickey on stage to thank the many bikers who showed up for their support in this wonderful event. They were quite overwhelmed by everything. Mickey presented Easton with his official Bikes and Blues Helmet and Jamie, Easton's sister her Winnie The Pooh Barbie.

Easton Wargo was St. Jude Patient of the month in April of 2005

We then had our Blessing of the Bikes, started our engines and got behind our 28 police escorts. At 11:15 it was clutches out and feet up.

Behind our 28 Motor Units from Various Police Departments in our area was a line 3 miles long made up of 1200 Motorcycles
Guess what?
I'm going to do it to you again...
To be continued.............
AWESOME photos, Lysa!! What a great day!
Do you use Real Estate Shows? I'm asking because I guess you don't (not being a Realtor) and I wanted to offer to make you a show of these pictures that you can use if you like. I could send you an unbranded version that you could e-mail around, share with Easton's family and so on. (If you were an agent I'd tell you to go make your own!) Just let me know, happy to do it for you!
