If you are a member of the Aiken Board of Realtors, I hope you had an opportunity to vote for the next Realtor of the Year. Time got away from me and I didn't get a chance to post this until now. The voting ended on Wednesday 11/19/08.

Karen is described by her peers as a positive motivator, team player and leader. She is currently serving on the 2008 Aiken Board of Directors and has spent time volunteering for the Golden Harvest Food Bank, Adopt a Highway, Goodwill and "Be a Bunny." She has a passion for making infor-mation accessible to young agents, concerned clients, and colleagues. She opens her home, shares her time and is creative. Her broker states..: I have seldom met an agent so disinterested in drawing attention to herself and yet so eager to build up other agents and serve her clients unstintingly.
Kara Casamassina
Kara is supportive of all agents and their endeavors and is a true sup-porter of the Aiken Board of Realtors. Kara has her SRES because of her commitment to Senior home buyers. She also volunteers for the Aiken Horse Show. Kara has served on the Education Committee for the last couple of years and has shown her commitment to the board by helping bring in great education, was instrumental in planning our Annual Realtor Appreciation Day and worked very hard in making the 50th Anniversary Party for the Board a huge success. Kara has volunteered to serve on the 2009 Aiken Board of Realtors Grievance Committee.
Susie Rutherfurd (picture unavailable)
Susie definitely exhibits the Realtor Spirit which can be seen in her dedica-tion to the local, state and regional involvement. She has served on the local board for 8 years as President-Elect, President, Past President, Vice President and MLS Director. Susie has also served on the SCR Executive Committee as Region 3 Vice President in 2008 and participated 3 years running in the SCR President's Strategic Planning Session. She has just been named the 2009 Vice Chair for the Public Relations Committee at the South Carolina Association of Realtors (SCR). She is involved in the community and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and supports local high school bands. She is proud to have helped build a Habitat House for Katrina Victims and is currently working on the Aiken Habitat Build.
