Job Title: Sr. Real Estate Support Specialist
Department: Patrion Mortgage, LLC, a division of Altura Credit Union
Reports To: Vice President of Sales
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Salary: Starts at $14.73 - $18.41/hr
SUMMARY
Supports External Mortgage Loan Consultant by inputting and reviewing applications, assisting with sending required disclosures, answering phone calls, setting appointments, managing the loan pipeline and supporting marketing efforts. Serves as the liason between the Mortgage Loan Consultants, their clients, and the operations staff (Underwriting, Docs, Funding).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES
- Actively supports and promotes Patrion Mortgage's core values, statement of purpose, BHAG, strategies and 'Stakeholders' reward compensation model.
- Reponsible for following process improvement methodology as communicated through training and Altura Credit Union's overarching quality initiatives.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with Bank Secrecy Act regulations
- Responsible for reporting to work on time, taking required breaks, and working for the full amount of time scheduled before leaving, or notifying the supervisor if any deviation from these responsibilities is necessary.
- Provides clerical support to Patrion Mortgage's loan officers by standardizing and maintaining organized filing systems, while anticipating departmental processes and needs.
- Responsible for uploading partial and completed applications from the loan officers' websites to the In House Mortgage Loan Origination System.
- Makes introductory calls and follow up emails to borrowers and Realtors, and requests additional information if needed to complete the loan package.
- Follows up with files in process.
- Re-runds Automated Underwriting System (AUS) with updated information.
- Responsible for maintaining loan application log, and inputting information into HMDA to comply with appropriate regulations.
- Responsible for monitoring pipeline from set-up, underwriting, funding and post-closing.
- Responsible for monitoring locks and 'Must Fund' dates for lock explanations and extensions.
- Responsible for communication between the Mortgage Loan Consultants, Realtors, Borrowers and Operations.
-Repsonsible for assisting Mortgage Loan Consultants by forwarding package for pre-approval, ordering preliminary title reports, opening escrow and ordering appraisals, and following up on Loan Action Reports (LAR).
- Prepares permanent loan file, and fastens the documentation in the standard guidelines or guidelines required by investors.
- Pre-doc and move to docs.
- Validates conditions reflected on the LARs and monitors progress on all LARs and conditions.
- Attends various seminars and/or training programs to enhance lending knowledge.
- From time to time, special projects may require a departure from or an addition to regular duties.
- Responsible for using integrity when using the performance review system.
- Other essential duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Two (2) years college and/or minimum three (3) years retail mortgage production experience, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of selling and servicing activities and requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to produce documents, spreadsheets, databases, etc. with Windows-based software. Prior experience with mainframe transactions required, as well as proficiency with the internet.
- Excellent listening skills necessary in order to follow instructions given to complete new tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both writeen and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with Altura Credit Union members ans well as Patrion Mortgage, LLC and credit union staff and management.
- Excellent organization skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks under heavy deadlines.
- Ability to type 40 WPM and the ability to type for up to 80% of the workday.
- Notary Public experience preferred.
- Ability to provide accurate, consistent and personalized service.
- Ability to cooperate and work harmoniously with a group.
- Ability to be patient, steady, and have a high tolerance for repetitive tasks.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
No foreing language is required; however, fluency in Spanish is preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Proficient math skills - ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate averages and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to follow instructions and use common sense in making decisions and problem-solving under normal and stressful situations.
- Ability to assemble facts, weigh alternative solutions and make sound decisions with som assistance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
