9/11 Anniversary...I've got nothing to complain about

Tonight, I decided to join my wife after work and pay a visit to the Gym.  I figured I'd try to address the guilt of enjoying a lavish BBQ the day before.  Although I was feeling lethargic, I soon revved up some adrenalin and made the best of my time there.  An hour later, we were ready to call it a day and made some plans to head back home, have a "light dinner" and head out to do some home furnishing shopping.

I was rather spent, and as I was walking in the parking lot, I soon noticed a few people near my vehicle in a bit of a gaze.  I quickened my pace and as I approached my SUV, I realized as had these on-lookers that I was the victim of a break-in.  Someone had decided to break the glass and steal my wallet which was in my compartment.  It was broad daylight (I purposely avoid bringing any valuables into the gym).  I ran back into the gym at which point the attendant told me she had paged the members in this regard.  I guess I didn't make out the announcement via the muffled speakers when she did.  She then proceeded to tell me to file an "on-line" police report because they (the police) would not attend to these kinds of incidents until that was done.  I wondered how she knew this, at which point she was quick to mention that they had some other similar incidents in the past few weeks.  I then became very irrate, considering the lack of a public awareness posting in the gym etc. 

I raced home to call the banks and when I contacted the Visa companies, I learned that the thieves had already put through a $900+ purchase.  I then started noting and researching all the telephone calls I would have to make the following day in respect of cards and documentation etc.  I was still upset.  I've always found the destruction and/or theft of personal property to be a particularly sensitive issue for me. 

On my wife's advice, I decided to call it a night and sit with her, relax and watch some TV.  We tuned into CNN which was covering the 9/11 anniversary from the perspective of the families who had suffered personal losses.

It quickly became apparent to me that, "I've gotten nothing to complain about".
