This is my first video attempt. Many thanks to my friend Roy Peterson, who helped me get through it. Some of the video is a little dark (taken in an attic) because I have not yet figured out how to edit, but I'm working on it. Feel free to comment, just don't be too harsh.... I promise the next one will be better...deal? This is just a short video about a beam in a garage holding up an attic floor with lots of stored items.

I don't know.... it WAS working just fine, and now that i tried to tweak it a little, you know, change to font color and size... now I can't get the video to run. Anyone got any answers?

Worked fine for me. Valiant effort. I would have probably tripped and broken my neck trying to film the trip up the stairs.

Looks good to me. Nice job except as you said the attic is dark.

The support structure for that beam is... creative. What do think will happen if the beam fails with it attached to the roof structure? Hope no one is in there when it does.

I didn't watch the video but am glad that you survived your first trip into being a director.  What happened to the good ole days when we didn't have to know it all?  cw

Great job for a first outing Kevin.  I can see it now 5 years and you'll have to move to CA.

It was great. First of all what type video camera did you use? I guess before long we'll have to learn something new.

Hi Kevin - Your video is pretty good for a first attempt.  Lighting is always an issue but I'm sure you'll figure a way to take care of that.  Without editing software you have to rely on getting it right on the first shoot.. and you did a good job at that.  Your commentary was good and informative as well.

I haven't done a live shoot like you did but I'll have to give it a go after watching your video.  Good Job!

I enjoyed meeting you on Monday and having lunch.  We had a great conversation and we'll have to do it again.
