Task Management for REO Agents and Brokers

For all of you that are active on the REO side of things, I though I would pass some information on to you and, express my appreciation to the folks at TAZA REO.....A special thanks to Darcy Duffin!

I have spent the past few months researching tools like REO Maestro, REO Professor and other tools needed to grow our REO business. One item missing has been an easy to use system for management of tasks and procedures relating to the listing side of bank owned properties.

Most of us are using a combination of Excel, Outlook and other software applications to track the process from BPO to close. We do the same and, quite frankly, takes a ton of time and a bit of a learning curve to train a new agent, assistant or transaction coordinator.

The TAZA system has streamlined our process and simplified the daily aspects of REO management. Their system is easy to implement (They help with everything you need to launch in a courteous and efficient manner), easy to use, affordable and fully customizable. Sounds like you're onto something good. I don't work with many REO properties (thank goodness), but I know I can't work effectively without an effective system.

Thanks for the info. I will bookmark and hope to be busy enough with REOs to need it soon! We are just getting into the mix and hope it will expand.

I am not an REO specialist, my area doesn't have any real type of REO business, but the agents I know who focus on REO have to be so disciplined. Great post.

I havew heard that there is no multiple user function on Taza, ie you cant be on it and your assistant at the same time

Nice that you share info about the system. Now I just need to know HOW to actually GET STARTED to be one fo the REO agents?

REGINA: I am on Linkedin. Dont work from a virtual office though.

ANDREW: Yes, TAZA allows multiple users. Truly a great management system.

SYLVIA: Check with your current lenders and Title reps. They should be able to assist you in getting started. It is a very competitive end of the business and....relationships are everything. Network all you can and attend a conference or two when you can. Not a lot of mystery, just a lot of hard work and expense.

I have just signed up with Taza and have been impressed to date, teh customer service seems to be top notch and all my questions have been answered to date.

Great post, Chris. We are currently looking at adding an REO management software component as well. My broker is leaning towared REO Maestro, but Taza seems well worth a look.

From what I am hearing, eBrokerHouse seems to be passing these other systems by recently in terms of features and of course affordability. They have a very cool offer management system that allows users to receive offers direct from the MLS from any agent, not just other users of the system.

I am also told that they are about to release a broker or team view so that multiple accounts can be linked together and the broker or team leader can manage and view the production of his/her entire team.

Anyway I really like this system and I recommend it to anyone looking to increase efficiency. The fact that I can manage my traditional listings, short sale listings, and buyers in addition to my REO listings made ebrokerhouse the right choice for me. Plus the customer service is the best I have seen.
