I had a chance to drive through the Village of Hartland today. It was just as interesting I was reminiscing with my attorney friend Larry Maloney of Dealfield Law Offices. Larry and I totally agree that out mutual friend Larry was one of the greatest saleman on Earth. Larry has since pasted on, but will ever be remembered in the hearts of many. I came to know LW when I was working for a company called Merrill Lynch in the eighties. LW was one of the most personable persons you could ever meet. He made time for everyone, and at the same time was amazingly productive.
I think it was LW that also said something one time to me that indeed sat in my mind, and still does, as to determination.
I always found it amazing when I was younger how well LW manged his time. Just when I thought I was starting to have a solid foot some obstacle would get in the way. Larry was the kind of man that thought big, and quality. When someone was out building a two family hwe was building a huge condo project in Hartland. He accomplished them and went to the next. Best of all he always had a smile, and time for anyone. I asked him how in the World he took on such tasks, ran a Re/Max company, worked for Re/Max, and was four place at once? I thought I would get a noble answer but in Larry's magnificent way of getting a point across he mentioned to me that he didn't like to hear people saying they can't He then came back and said to me "Tommy, if you want to run with the big dogs you better learn to lift your leg a little higher!"
Larry if your looking down right about now, I thank you for the wonderful education in Real Estate. By the way LW I know you used to roll those eyes at me when we had the street dances in Hartland and I was in charge of the helium and balloons. I have lost my sense of humor with the helium, but because of you my way of thinking rose to the skies!
Sincerely
Tom Braatz
