Midori,

You are always a wealth of information.  Thanks for sharing.  I wonder what it will be like in 2010.  I want to still be here.

Midori, Some of these people still blog but I am not familiar with a lot of them.  Do you know how many are still active on AR?

That was pretty cool. Many of those names I don't recognize and I've been here since Nov 2006. My how times change.

Midori, I am fairly new to AR and I found this to be an interesting post. Who knew back then how big this would become in such a short time.

Midori - #4 on the top 25 is still up there in Texas (#2 behind Jason Crouch).  Thought that was interesting.  I liked the fact that many people didn't even have photos.  Imagine not having a photo on ANY site these days.

Evening Midori,  That was a fun trip down memory lane.  Doesn't seem that long ago.

Midori- I can't believe how fast active rain has grown. I think when I signed up there were only 8 people in my county now there is 108.

I'm curious to see how much growth there is over the next 6 to 12 months....

Hi Midori - that was a trip down memory lane for sure!  I wonder where a lot of those from back then are.  I clicked on a few pages beyond the first one, and disovered I was #70 back then.  I didn't realize I'd done enough that early on to even be counted at that point!  I had barely joined at that point.

Midori,

I think the term "grown" is a UNDERSTATEMENT, it is more like exploded into what it is today.  I wasnt around back then but it has grown a lot just this year alone.

Amazing. I think we'd have gotten bored doing top 25 lists :) Mark Flanders, ya i've heard about him, he's in our soon to be released top 10 active rain members who have left this network. Thanks for supplying the others though (can increase that list now)

I"m going through that old archive now to find the rest of the goods.

btw: What's really sad, in going through that list and looking up the #1 member: Paul Sullins, is to hear that he passed away. Coincidentally enough, not even thinking about it (perhaps this is how you got the idea) i had commented on his death earlier today.  He passed away apparently not long after the date at which he was #1. He already had 134,000 points at that point (9/6/08). I think Lenn would have had a run for her money if he was still around. He will be missed.

Jay and francy Gordon #2 were still blogging up untill 3 months ago. (125k points now).

This would make a great where are they now post. Nobody steal my idea now, i type 100 wp. :)

Great post Midori. You always bring out the best in Active Rain. Love your enthusiasm for this network. Keep up the great work associate!

Ann-I am laughing..I think I only had 694 points.  I was sooooooooooooooo clumsy on the rain...so clumsy I rewrote many of my old posts..

Lisa-funny thing that I remember all along...I have always been number 2 and for a brief few days you and I flipped back and forth...and I realized..I was killing myself to be number 1..and still I concede..that I am the second featured agent in Daytona Beach...you earned #1 fair and square..and I love...that movie...and use that tune! :)

Castellum Realty- that is very sad..and I wasn't aware..its really something in how a few years things have changed!

I barely remember any other these people. There are a few but most have disappeared.

Not many are still near the top of the leader board.  I joined in November 2006 and only remember a few of those on the list in June.

How fun! Most of the names I did not recognize. I joined in December of 2006 and did a lot of reading those first six months!
