I am so new to AR that I have no idea what a MeMe really is.  I'm guessing it's a type of get-to-know you game.  Thankfully, someone has graciously tagged me to play along already.   Here goes, please pardon any faux pas!

OK...First "The Rules:"

1. Grab the nearest book.

2. Open the book to page 56.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the text of the next two to five sentences.

5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book or the intellectual one. Pick the Closest.

6. Tag five people to do the same

*The one book that this cannot be is The Bible.

Okay, here's mine.  It's from Twilight, which I found in my daughter's room.  Nearest book at the time.
Pg. 56, line 5-Just before I heard the shattering crunch of the van folding around the truck bed, something hit me, hard , but not from the direction I was expecting.

I've never read this book, but my daughter is totally wrapped up in the series.  Coincidentally the first movie in the series came out earlier today.  I hear it is totally awesome!

Sorry, I hate these things-blame it on Christine Wade!

I'm tagging you next

Tony Marriott

Tom Braatz

Mike Chris

David Serle

Angelia Garcia

Okay, I"ve already  made a mistake with this meme thing!  I entered the 5th sentence of the book instead of the 3-5 sentences following the 5th sentence.  Sorry, here goes-My head cracked against the icy blacktop, and I felt something solid and cold pinning me to the ground.  I was lying on the pavement behind the tan car I'd parked next to.  But I didn't have a chance to notice anything else, because the van was still coming.  It had curled  gratingly around the end of the truck and, still spinning and sliding, was about to collide with me again.

There, it's done :)

Hey, Erika. I comment on another blog post of yours about Mike Chris. I see you know him. He and his wife dropped by to see me last year when they took a cruise out of San Diego. Pleased to know you now, too.
