Fort Rucker Christmas Tree Lighting
The Fort Rucker Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonyis an annual family favorite. New to the FT Rucker community or a long time resident, this event is sure to get you and your entire family into the holiday season.

Mark you calendar, bundle up in your warmest winter coats and plan on attending the Fort Rucker Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 4, 2008. The event will begin at 5:00 pm.

Fort Rucker's very own 98th Army band performs a melody of holiday songs while local choir groups sing carols.  Fort Rucker's Cub Scouts Pack 50will be handing out the FT Rucker Christmas Tree Ceremony programs.

The lighting of the tree, warm beverages and a visit from Santa makes this an enjoyable family event.

Its a wonderful time of the year. I can't remember the last time I saw a christmas tree lighting. I guess since I am old now. Are those two cute ones in the picture your bundle of joy? You are indeed the Fort Rucker Enterprise AL Real Estate Professional. Great post.

Lanre:  Washington DC must surely do a wonderful Christmas tree lighting somewhere?  Maybe this year you will find one and make it a new tradition.  You are NEVER TOO OLD to enjoy the holiday season.  I especially enjoy seeing the smiles on the two years old who are now old enough to know what is going on, but can not remember last years Christmas tree.  NO...my nephews last year.  They are our two peas in pods.  Keep us posted if you find a great Christmas tree lighting in the Washington DC area.

Teresa in Seattle:  I too love this time of the year.  I have all my decoration ready to go, however the hub thinks lights can not go up until after Thanksgiving.  This will be first attendance to the Fort Rucker Christmas Tree Lighting, I hear the residents who live on-post, all come out to enjoy the joyous event. I will keep you posted. I have to monitor the Cub Scouts, who will be handing out the programs (last year a few were trying to sell them). Will you be attending the Seattle Christmas tree event?

Meli:  I plan on doing a follow-up to the event.  Maybe we should designate a post for all to upload pictures of local city/town Christmas trees?

Margaret:  I enjoy this time of the season.  There is so much fun things to do.  Military installation always have festive events to help the military families to get into the season. I hope you have not had too much snow in the Crofton area.
