I like your take on reality. Right, wrong or indifferent it is what it is.
Hi Melody. So very true, I agree ,,,it is what it is!
I appreciate your straight-forward attitude. I'm not very good at it and find Some people will take the medicine better if it's mixed with a little sugar.....
Sandy, What a powerful message for a Saturday morning. That's, but one of the reasons, you're one of my must reads every morning. I really enjoyed this post. Thank-you
Hi Mary, I'm not saying that one must be blatantly rude or mean about delivering the truth. I believe that when someone asks for our opinion, we must be straight forward and upfront with it. There is a nice way of putting everything. Just tell the truth about it. But, don't let the message be drowned in syrupy sweetness.
Hi Paul, Thanks for the great compliment! I appreciate it. I, in turn, look forward to reading what you have to say everyday, also. Thanks for being a great friend here on AR and for teaching me so much!
Hi Sandy, I understand what you're saying - thanks for a really good post.
Perception of the truth is always more important to the individual than the truth itself.
Sandy, this is the kind of conversation I have with my sellers, especially the ones that are in denial about the price and condition of their home. I ask them if they want me to sugarcoat things, or to be honest with them. Too many sellers are in trouble today because they still are not realistic.
Hi Mary, Your welcome for the post. Thanks for stopping by, and reading my post and taking the time to comment.
Hi JL, I think that you worded that perfectly, "Perception of the truth is always more important to the individual than the truth itself." I think that truly sums it up!
Hi Rich, I have had this conversation with buyers and sellers of my own, also. I think many are finding it difficult to be realistic in today's ever changing market!
I really appreciate straight talk without all the sugar coating. I like to get my information quick accurate and to the point. Do to this at times I'm afraid I may come across as insensitive or impatient. At the same time I do feel that its important to be courteous and smile. Especially when delivering news that the other party doesn't want to hear.
Hi Justin, I don't disagree that we must be very careful in how we deliver any type of news, whether good or bad. I think we must always take other's thoughts into consideration when conversing with clients. Thanks Justin!
In our business, perception is often more realistic that reality.
Hi Fred, I know, so very true. Maybe that's why the business is so very mixed up!
Sandy, I enjoyed reading your blog. You raised some interesting points, and I'm glad that you have the courage to be yourself regardless of whether others like it or not.
Hi Tracy, Thank you for the compliment and thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
