     Being somewhat new to real estate, I was a bit reluctant about getting my face out there.  I can't explain it exactly, but it's related to the belief that I think I'm not very photogenic.

     Then I heard a couple of things that changed my whole perspective.  As to having my face on cards and the side of my vehicle, someone pointed out that movie stars are constantly bombarded by people who think they know them.  Ask any movie star, I'm sure they'll back me up on this.  A member of the public sees your face enough and they have this feeling like they know you, even if you've never actually met.

     So, getting your face out there is one way to begin to develop a relationship, even a sense of trust, before you even meet.  It doesn't matter if you're photogenic, that's got nothing to do with it.  It's more about the comfort of familiarity.

     Second, as to name tags, usually located on your chest, just below your face, same thing, but more.  Not only do they help to create that sense of familiarity, but it lets people you do meet know you're in real estate.

     So post your picture all over the place and wear your name tags with pride.  After all you want to be a real estate agent, not a secret agent.
