If any member here lives in Connecticut, you are sure to know how C-O-L-D it is here today.  Now that it is dark, I'm sure it is even colder.

I try to help out clients and go beyond probably what most will... but how many would do this for their family?  Probably quiet a few.  Today/tonight, I am putting myself out there for my son Jakob.  When it is only the two of us, he likes going for a walk with me... but it has to be dark.  We did this for Earth Day, and it just seemed to stick.

I'm leaving in 5 minutes.. and I guess this is an alert of sorts.  If I don't continue this blog when I get back, please send out a search party.  He wants to walk to Blockbusters which is about ¼ mile from my house.  LOL.  This should be interesting.. why?  As some of you know, I need a particle knee replacement.  The things we do for our family.    Stay tuned for more..  I hope within the hour.

I'M BACK... AND FROZEN.  ONE OF THE BEST TIMES WITH MY SON...WOULDN'T TRADE IT FOR THE WORLD.

I'll be back.. need to warm up.

Jakob and I did the walk to Blockbusters.. only one small mishap with my knee.. but the memories are priceless.  My son held my hand all the way home.. he felt bad that I was hurt.  All he could say when we got home was "Thank you so much Mommy... I love you.. you are the best mom".  Do you know, with that, I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Valerie, it was so cold out there, that I am sure it numbed your knees to the point you did not feel any pain :)

Valerie, You're right about the cold - there was no transition - just fall to winter in 1 day and Thanksgiving week looks no different.  Good post and good timing when most of us will be with family next week.

Donna.. I'm exhausted.  Jakob *did* have hot chocolate.. Me?  I took a HOT shower.  Then made a double decker pineapple upside down cake.  LOL.

Kara.. As I mentioned to Donna above, I took a hot shower, and had a craving for pinapple upside down cake.  So, guess what?  I made some.  I made a double decker pinapple upside down cake.  Never did that before.

Marlene.. It was stimulating... or was that stinging.  I couldn't wait to get home.  The hot shower felt great... but the memories with my son are priceless.

George, I wish you were right.  Unfortunately, I mis-stepped a curb.  NOT GOOD.  This was on the way over.  But Jake had a good time.. he held my hand all the way home, and we talked about the stars, and how he wished it would snow.  I love these walks.. and it will be a long time, but I totally give up on them.

Thanks Edward.  I'm heading up to New Hampshire with my sons for Thanksgiving.  Should be fun.. maybe they might even have snow.. who knows.

Hope your family has a wonderful holiday.

It was 16 here last night.  Thought I'd try to make you feel better.  I hate the cold, but I stay here in the north.  Go figure.

Val-That is priceless. Those are memories you will keep the rest of your life. I know it had to be hard on the body, but the heart was very warm. I am glad you were able to do it. Thank you for sharing this heartwarming blog with us.

Jack.. The hot shower I had afterwards and a cup of hot tea (I like that verses coffee after a walk), I was back to my old self. Except fo the  pain in my knee.. oh well.  I enjoyed my sons' company.

Laura.. Those are my thoughts exactly.  Memories are a lot more important.. and are there for a lifetime, verses temporary pain.  I'd do it again in a heartbeat.  I love my sons.
