An odd combination but well worth the wait. Green Beans rolled up in seared bacon-yum.

This has been a hit and can be quite versatile during the holidays or company gatherings.

GREEN BEAN ROLL-UPS

1 Can Green Beans

1 16 oz package bacon

1 small bottle french dressing

Open green beans and drain. Next open bacon package and split strips down the center. Take a half strip of bacon and roll up 3-5 green beans into that strip. Then take a toothpick and slide it through. Place each roll-up into a casserole dish. Bake at 350 to 375 degrees (depends on the oven) until the bacon starts to sear on the edges. Remove and drizzle french dressing over the top. Place back into the oven and let this candy a spell. Keep an eye to avoid burning.

These make great finger food.

Eric - Doesn't matter what it is, if you wrap it with bacon, it tastes better.

Matt, funny but so true. Bacon makes most everything have a different flavor.

I am one of those kookie California vegetarians. Could I have a stuffed mushroom instead?

Janet, why of course you can. I had put on the "Getting to Know Me-A Christmas MeMe" that I liked green bean rollups and decided to go ahead and post the recipe.

Hi Eric -  I saw 'green bean' and glanced at the post - then I saw 'bacon' and just had to open it up, lol.  Sounds great - but what doesn't sound great wrapped in bacon :)     Have a good night, thanks for sharing.

Steve and Kara. They are a little aggravating at first preparing (cold bacon) but they "take to you" after eating one. I carried two pans a couple of years ago to a company gathering and they were gone in about 5 minutes---literally.

Leesa you are welcome. If I had not found the "cookbook" I had thought about starting a group for recipes. In the rain it seems we have a group for most everything.

Bob and Carol, this is a different combination but the bacon and the dressing give this a wonderful flavor.

I tried this, but had to substitute froozen green beans as I don't buy canned products.  Still it was very good.

Jon wish your daughter luck. Tammy I agree the bacon and the green beans make a great combination.

My neighbor makes chestnuts rolled up in bacon, covered with a sauce that is made from ketchup and brown sugar.  This sounds similar to that.  Those things are to DIE FOR!  You might try your recipe sometie with canned chestnuts, the crunch is awesome with the bacon and the sweet....  white trash cooking at it's finest!
