12 Comments on Three Must Have’s on Your Active Rain Subscriber List
Yep. I have Active Brad on my subscriber list and immediately read his stuff as soon as it bubbles to the top. That being said, there should be a way for AR to send out a blast (yeah, I know, 122,000 and growing) to give people a heads up. There are lots of people who don't read you or the AR community honchos that just get miffed or confused or both.
I like the blast email idea!
I have meant to do this, but forgot. Subscribing now.
Ken-I'm not sure how you blast out an email to 125,000 plus people without jamming up the servers even more than they already are. What do you mean they don't all read my blog? Snicker-Snicker!
Erica-I'm just afraid there are way to many members of AR and even worse way to many that signed up and no longer are active with bad email address. Can you imagine 10,000 bounced emails coming back to the server!
Brenda-Yea one convert!
That's a good excuse for AR to delete inactive subscribers! Anyone who doesn't log in for x months (3 or 6 or 9???) should be sent an email to keep their account active, perhaps? If they don't reply in 7 days their profile/account will be deleted?
Didn't George Carlin come up with those 7 words?? LOL~
Thanks Cindy, we appreciate your good intentions and support when "Turkey's Run Wild!" :-))
Erica-I'll leave that decision up to the AR powers to decide. I'm sure they are already thinking about ways to clear out the servers. As long as it isn't our posts!
Brad-yes George did come up with those words that we can't repeat even on AR :-) My years in the tech industry made me realize that the bugs (or turkeys) that invade servers and software are just part of the business. Though the techies did not like my idea of sending out fly swatters with each release that said "to help you swat the bugs in this release." No sense of humor.
It's not near as much fun for people to simply subscribe to a blog and wait for the answer. Where's the 225 points in that? LOL
This should be "Four must haves...." and the forth is my friend to the North "Cindy Jones"!!!
Merry Christmas!
