Every waterfront community had it's own personality. Fidalgo Island, (Anacortes) , Samish Island, and Whidbey Islands are an easy drive from Seattle. Other Islands such as Guemes Island have state ferry or county ferry service such as Guemes Island, scheduled air and float plane service, and/or can be accessed by water taxi. You know Jean I have traveled these areas and appreciate all of them. I did enjoy Fidalgo enroute to Orcas, but haven't spent enough time in these communties to develop a favorite. Which is yours?
