I took my training from Val Sharp of the Canadian Redesigners Association in the spring of 2004.  The 5 day course included 3 full days of hands-on training in real clients' homes and 2 days of classroom instruction on redesign and staging principals, business basics and marketing.

The opportunity to complete a redesign and then see the joy and amazement on a homeowner's face at the end of the day totally validated my decision to enter this field.  I felt fully confident after completing the course and the continued support and on-going learning from Val and the Association has been incredible.

I had the pleasure of working with Val at the NOCC (National Ovarian Cancer Coalition) table at the IRIS trade show. She is a sweetheart and a wonderful, energetic spirit! Stage it Forward!

I love the look on the clients face as well. We are in the right biz especially that we can see what they cannot

3 days of hands on training sounds amazing!  That would really help those looking to get into the business grasp the concept of staging and see exactly what it takes to do it successfully!

I went through Home Staging Resource, which definately gives a wealth of information, however, I wish they offered a hands-on day too, like many of the other training classes. I think it would be helpful to see how to stage firsthand.
