Colorado Raising Real Estate Broker License Fees

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Alliance

I found this interesting, in tough Real Estate times, raise the fees on folks trying to make a living!   I guess in the big picture, it is probably a good idea, we have a lot of Real Estate "professionals" in our State, many of whom are not actually practicing Brokers.

For you folks out of state, are you seeing  increases in your licensing fees?

Rob, our license fees have not really gone up, but recently we increased our hours for renewal from 9 to 12 ( I think it should be more like 20hrs).

Raising fees and education requirements would benefit both the consumer and the agents/brokers.

Haven't noticed any increases here.

NJ doesn't have any CE requirements at this time.  We're hoping for legislative approval of CE requirements early next year.  And yes our fees have increased and membership has declined.
