Milwaukee's first Measurable snow event for winter - Fall of 08

By
Services for Real Estate Pros

It's time for shovels and plows and for the kids to get out with their snowsuits on!

Well, it's the first measurable snow of the season -- if last Monday's under an inch doesn't count.  Last Monday was a storm to quickly forget.  Most people out after the snow where in gridlock and driving on treacherous black ice.  Enough about that.

This morning most people got up to a covering of snow.  I looked out at about 5 am and there was a covering.  A few hours later - there was 3 inches!!

Since school is out in the area, the kids think this is just great.  Good snowman weather!

The snow is really pretty, it looks like the trees are covered with marshmallows.  A real Christmas type look.First Snow

April,

The first snow - if it's deep enough to cover all the grass - is very pretty. :)

Hi April, All I can say is, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.  When we lived up north I used to love waking up to a fresh blanket of clean white snow.

Lou - I do enjoy the first "nice" snowfall.  Meaning it doesn't cause trouble on the roads and such!

Tom - and have a happy Thanksgiving to you too!  It really feels like that time of year now that it's white out.

Bill - I am sure some of the hunters are happy.  I don't know if they got this up north though.  When I walked "Simba" this morning I saw deer tracks in my backyard.  I love seeing those, I know they were out and about the night before.

Steve, It was definitely enough to cover all the grass.  And it's still there today.  We are cold though.  Even with bright sunshine it didn't melt.

Cameron, The kids had fun.  They were building snowmen and forts.  Enough snow and the packing type that they had fun!  That snowball I threw for you - itgot me into hot water! (and I love it!)

Shirley - It is very beautiful.  That's one thing I never get tired of - even when it's really cold, it's still gorgeous!

Richard,

I just read your post.  I really like seeing black and white photos in the snow - they are pretty.
