I am one of the minority that is proud to call Dutchess County my home.  I have lived here all my life and have watched some monumental changes take place.  Do you know the best way to tell if someone is a native of Dutchess County?  Ask them directions to such and such street.  Let's say you want to know how to get to Beekman Rd. and they reply, "You mean county rte 10, or Old Hopewell Rd, and they reply, you mean cty rte 28?  Those of us who are natives always call the roads by their name, not their number and vice versa for those from outside the county.

Why, i was born in Highland Hospital in Beacon and now it's a townhouse community.  Let's walk down memory lane together.  If nothing else, it could be fun!
